A la Carte Services

The following services will be provided as you require or request them.  They will be billed by the hour plus the costs of any additional service providers or consultants required to complete the desired service.

Pre-Move Services:

  • “Walk Through” room by room to ear mark items to move, sell, give away and donate to charity.
  • Organizing and preparing based on “walk through” de-cluttering process
  • Visit the new residence and develop floor plan in order to determine placement of furniture and what furniture is not needed.
  • Prepare with clients a detailed floor plan for furniture placement to make certain everything moving will fit in new home.
  • Bring in experts to determine value of items to be auctioned or sold, either on consignment or yard sale.
  • Organize and run yard sale.
  • Arrange for charitable donations and pick up of items.  Obtain tax receipts.
  • Prepare and oversee the pickup or shipment of items going to family members.
  • Prepare inventory of items going out to auction; Supervise auctioneer’s packing and moving items; and audit final proceeds from auction to insure all items are accounted for were sold and moneys were received.
  • Setup appointments and obtain estimates from 3 moving companies.
  • Pack the items you will take with you.
  • Notify others of your change of address: includes gas, electric, phone, newspaper, magazine subscriptions and cable.
  • Arrange for trash removal or handyman services as needed.
  • Oversee unloading of truck and placement of furniture.
  • Verify deliveries with inventory matching, noting any damage.
  • Unpack boxes.

Pack & Moving Day

  • Oversee packing of items being packed by moving company.
  • Oversee loading of the truck.
  • Arrange for house cleaning and trash removal.
  • Empty refrigerator and freezer. Transport perishables to new home as applicable.
  • Oversee unloading of truck and placement of furniture.
  • Verify deliveries with inventory matching, noting any damage.
  • Unpack boxes.

Additional Services

  • Organize kitchen, bath and closets.
  • Hang pictures, make beds, set clocks and connect telephone and TV.
  • Remove boxes and debris
  • Meet contractors as needed for home repair and services.
  • We will find the most profitable avenue to liquidate your excess belongings. We can conduct an estate sale or even sell specialty items on e-bay. The cost for our liquidation service is 35% of the proceeds from the sale of the items. There will be no hourly rate for the liquidation of items. Estate sale proceeds vary depending on the volume and quality of the items to be sold.
  • Escort service for client to ensure safe travel to new residence beyond the traditional 50-mile service area. Fees for this service will be quoted on a case by case basis, plus travel expenses.

Any combination of services can be bundled together to accommodate the individual clients needs.

*Fees for service providers (trash removals, appraisers, handyman, plumbers, electricians etc.) required for the move will be charged separately and are not included in WITTZ END pricing.
