Throughout the years, moving family and friends has become second nature to me. With each move I supervised, I acquired more skills at organizing. I learned to plan ahead about what needed to be done, and how to accomplish each move in the most efficient and cost-effective way.
For 17 years I have worked in the moving business, and I learned firsthand its joys and trials. Many times, I have had to roll up my sleeves and pitch in to carry out the myriad of tasks that make up the moving process.
Whether it was preparing estimates, setting up the paperwork, or talking with customers about their moves, I have done it. I’ve delivered packing materials to clients’ homes, physically packed the cartons, supervised the delivery process, unpacked cartons and disposed of debris after the move was completed. Throughout, I have acquired a respect for the handling of my clients’ possessions, and a keen eye and memory for how they like to display them.
Moving is one of the most stressful activities we participate in during our lives. It doesn’t have to be. I do my best to lighten that experience and try to make it fun. If my clients feel that way at the end of the moving process, then I have done my job well.
My philosophy is –
Do whatever is necessary to get the move completed to the customer’s satisfaction.
